If you are thinking about starting an affiliate marketing business, you probably hear some terms that you do not know. Maybe you’ve heard the term niche page and wondered what a niche site or niche site is. You may also have heard that niche sites no longer work.

In this article, I’ll explain what niche sites are, I’ll give you some advice if you choose your niche, and I’ll tell you if you can still make money by creating one of these sites.

What is a niche site?

A niche site is a website or blog created around a specific topic or term. This topic is reduced to a broader, more general term.

You can say that a niche is a group of people, your niche site will provide quality content that will help these people solve a problem or give them information about a product or event in their niche.

Much of the construction of a niche site tries to get as much free traffic as possible. This is done by sorting your publications as high as possible in the search engines by keywords for your niche market. To do this, you need to produce a good amount of content. While the organic free traffic of search engines is excellent, there are also options for social network traffic and paid traffic.

How do I choose your niche?

Choosing a niche is often a problem for many people, it was also for me when I started!

Creating a profitable website means you will write and read about your niche for a long time. So it’s a great advantage to choose something you love. You will not get bored and you will lose interest. This is especially true in the first few months when you feel that you are not writing for someone.

By choosing your niche, you can start listing your hobbies and interests, and then your specific skills you have. If you can not find any niche ideas that way, you can go to Amazon and then click on the categories and subcategories. You will find many niches in which you never thought.

Why not choose a big niche?

You may be tempted to choose a large niche because there are many searches, for example for a term like “weight loss”. However, the number of search queries is just one of the sizes to consider.

Better search engine rankings
Another benefit of niching down is that you are likely to land higher in search engines. It depends on the keywords you choose, but it’s easier to classify them for specific keywords in your niche, rather than more general keywords. It is true that these keywords will have less traffic, but they will also have less competition.

Many beginners are behind the keywords that have a lot of traffic, sometimes I made the same mistake. But nobody sees their work because they are on the twelfth side of Google. Most people do not go over the first page. So it’s better to search Google’s first page for a keyword that gets 50 searches per month than the sixth page for a keyword with 20,000 searches.

The specific conditions are more likely to attract buyers
If people are looking for general terms, they are probably still in the information gathering phase. As they become more specific, they have a good idea of what they want.

If I take my example from a large niche of “chickens” or “breeding chickens,” people are simply looking for general information. Maybe they just think about getting chickens in the future. You probably are not interested in buying something at this time.

When they start to “build their own chicken coop,” they become serious. You probably want plans and materials that give you the opportunity to earn money with affiliate products.

Different types of niche pages

There are several types of niche pages that vary in size from a few pages to hundreds of pages.

Micro Niche
These pages are relatively easy and quick to create. They consist of only a few pages with 4 or 5 publications as well as contact pages, envelope and privacy policy. Those are very focused and can only promote one product.

These are promoted as the “sniper sites” in Google Sniper. Micro-niche sites may still work if you find a product that is being marketed with very little or no competition, but generally, Google prefers larger sites. Earlier, it was possible to make money from microsites, but with the changes in search engine ranking algorithms, it’s now much harder to get a ranking. And if you are not well classified, you will not get traffic.

Single Niche
A niche page has many more pages. Although there are no fixed rules, something in the range of 20 to 200 pages would be normal. It depends on the topic chosen and your goals for the website.

There are also various ways you can earn money with a niche site. You can promote affiliate products, sell your own products or integrate AdSense.

Authority Niche
A government side is different from a niche side in that their goal is to become the last resort for this topic. The site will gain the trust of its readers by providing high-quality content and ensuring a pleasant user experience.

Your authority will increase your reputation by helping people. Once you’ve helped them once or twice, they’ll start reading more of your publications and keep coming back. This should be seen as a long-term project and it takes a lot of time to be successful.

As an authority, you should not promote a doubtful product. No matter which model you choose, I would only promote products that you would use yourself.

Build your niche page

Building a website these days is nothing to worry about. There are a number of online site builders like Wix or Weebly that make it very easy.

However, I recommend using WordPress for yourself because it’s easy to use, versatile and functional. In addition, you have full control over your website, which is not always the case with some other site creators.

Here’s a quick guide to setting up your website.

Domain name
Once you have selected your niche, choose a domain name. Some tips for choosing your domain name:

  • Keep it as short as possible
  • If possible, point to a .com, if not .org or .net
  • Do not use a commercial brand
  • Make it pronounceable
  • Do not use numbers or hyphens
  • A keyword in your domain name can help you get an idea of what your site is and give you a very small boost on the search engines. But markable is as good as Google, Yahoo or Bing.

Hosting and installation of WordPress

If you have decided, domain name, hosting is the next step. It is possible to host a website for free, but it is not recommended that you have certain restrictions and ads on your website. The paid accommodation is pretty cheap $3 – $ 10 a month.

After selecting your host, you need to install WordPress. Most platforms now make it very easy and have step-by-step instructions.

Select a topic
If WordPress is installed, you must select a theme. There are thousands of free themes to choose from. The design determines the look or design of your site. One of the best things about WordPress is that you can change your topic at any time. Once you have your design installed, you can start adding content to your site.

You’ll also need to install some add-ons to protect your site from spam and prepare your site for search engines. Add-ons are tools to give your site extra functionality, and like most things in WordPress, many of them are free.

Add-ons can be added at any time if you need additional features or functions.

Organize your website
Once the base of your website has been set up, you need to start writing content. Before you begin with your content, you should think a bit about the structure of your website.

If it were a niche that you have explored a little, you should already know the problems, questions, and problems that people in your niche want to know. When you do your keyword search, you will find other content ideas.

A niche page is being edited. Therefore, she will likely change or add categories, change publications and even your target niche may change slightly. All this is part of the process of creating a niche.

Keyword research
Each article you enter must be optimized for a keyword. Therefore, before writing a publication, you must find a keyword that is searched every month and as little competition as possible. If you do this with a keyword tool, you save a lot of time and get all the information you need in a few clicks.

Everyone seems to have their own metrics to pick a keyword. If possible, I’d like to pick a keyword with a few hits and fewer than 100 sites competing for the same keyword. As long as a keyword has traffic, I do not worry too much about the volume. The most important criterion for me is the competition.

Sorting your post on the first page of Google is the most important thing. Since you will write many publications, even if you have only 10 or 20 hits per month, multiply this by the number of publications on your website and add up. Also keep in mind that your publications will also be classified according to the variations of the keyword, which in turn will increase your traffic.

 Write content
The content is the foundation of your website. Write unique articles that share your experiences and provide information, product reviews, instructional articles, tutorials and guides, lists (the 10 best …). When you start you should write as often as possible and fill in at least one article per week. , Do not copy the content of other websites, your articles must be unique.

There are a few places where you need to insert your keywords: Title, Meta Description, Alternate Image … For more information, see this publication. If you follow the instructions, your publications will be optimized for the search engine, so you should achieve a good classification.

There are a few pages that you should include in every website you create.

  • About
  • Contact
  • Privacy Policy
  • Disclaimer

Calls to action
Do not forget to include call-to-action (CTA) in most of your publications. Your CTA can be an image, button, or line of text that encourages or encourages your visitor to take action. For example, you want your visitors to click on your affiliate link or join your email list.

Remember that you’re trying to build trust with your visitors, and if you’re always trying to sell something, your readers might be irritated. So it contains some content without CTA.

Monetize your niche website

There are several ways to monetize your site:

Affiliate Marketing: promotes other people’s products and gets a commission if someone buys the product after clicking on its affiliate link. If you start, I would recommend this model.
Google AdSense: Show ads from the Google AdSense network on your website. You can choose where to place ads that are relevant to your niche or the search history of your visitors. The amount you earn per click varies from a few cents to a few dollars. You probably only earn a few cents a click. So you need a lot of traffic to earn money with AdSense. There are other AdSense-like platforms like or Infolinks.
Sell Your Own Products: It could be a digital product like eBook, an online course or a membership site. Alternatively, you can create and sell your own physical assets related to your niche.
Sell ad space: Once your site has good traffic, you can find businesses that are in touch with your niche and are interested in buying ad space on your site.

Do niche sites still work today?

Yes, they do, the niche sites are not dead. What is dead are the low-quality sites that quickly come together with some inferior objects. Google has made sure that low-content sites do not score high.
